This web page describes my Rover plans for the upcoming VHF contest.

As I've stated on my rover page: I am a Single Op Rover. I drive the car, monitor the GPS, read the map, fiddle with the the radio, holler into the mic, and paper-log QSOs all by myself. I do not attempt to do this whilst underway. My modus operandi is to move to a Great Site - operate - and then move to the next Great Site. I monitor while driving and I will, if I can safely, pull over and make contact(s).

I ask that you spot me on the prop loggers when I am in DM87 or DM88 -- not so much for my benefit, but rather for those ops that need those grid squares filled in.

As always, events often overtake planning. I will update this page prior to the contest as 'things' change. Up to an hour or two before the contest these truly are my plans. Thereafter I am ruled by Murphy's Law.

2010 CQ World Wide VHF Contest - July 17-18, 1800z Sat - 2100z Sun

My plans for the contest involve a return trip from Gunnison to Pueblo (DM68 - DM67 - DM77 - DM78) on Saturday and then my tried-and-true DM78 - DM77 - DM87 - DM88 activations on Sunday.

Saturday

        aborted ~ QRT 2100z

Sunday

        cancelled
