Joanne Barnes
Born Joanne Arndt in Denver (1941), Joanne passed away on January 7,
2010.
Defying medical odds through her amazing courage and strength, she gave
her family and friends two "extra" years to share her life. Joanne
loved spending time with family, friends and tending to her flower
gardens. Joanne graduated from West High School in 1959 and was a
longtime United/Norwest Bank Services Company employee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Doris Arndt and
her son, James Edward Barnes, Jr. Joanne is survived by her daughter,
Jennifer Shuman; son, Jeff Barnes (Janice); grandchildren, Ashlee &
Carissa Fiedler; Tanner Barnes; Siarra Shuman; sisters Linda Leigh
(Bill) and Cathie Leigh (Tom); and brother Robert Arndt (Sue).
Services will be held Friday at 2:00pm in the Pavilion of Reflection at
Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary. Memorials may be made to Hospice of St.
John, 1320 Everett Court, Lakewood, CO 80215.
