In mid-November, 2016, Joanne Schirm notified me of David Bakkom's death. She passed along the Facebook posting by one of David's friends.

Dear friends of David, it is with quiet and sad hearts that we share the passing of David (October 24th, 2016). David had been dealing with cancer for quite sometime, but passed quietly and calmly with the company of a great friend beside him. He is greatly missed by us as we are sure by all of you who touched his life and filled his world with laughter and joy. Thank you all for being a part of his great journey. We invite everyone to post to his page with memories, final words, or other things that may help you in this difficult time. Our thoughts are with you all.


Remembering Dave Bakkom. He and I worked with Roger Johnson (after Roger moved to Corporate) on financials for the Cash Register building. We used a product (Finar) to define income/expenses for every floor. Dave knew the product's operation, so was a key component of the study. A really smart, hard working fellow. He was always a contractor in so far as I know.
