A retirement party was held at Garcia's Mexican Restaurant in the
Denver Tech Center to celebrate Dave's retirement after 35 years with
UBSC, NorWest, and finally Wells Fargo.
Dave and his wife Sherri arrive at the appointed hour.
You might say Dave decided to take "The Stage"

out of town...
Dave opens the all-too-obvious gag gifts from his friends and colleagues.
The were approximately 60 folks in attendance -- the majority of which went all the way back to the
UBSC of the 1970s and 1980s.

Here we see Dave in front of his friends and colleagues. About half of
those in attendance are out of sight -- beneath and behind the camera.
Now let's move on to see some of the
UBSC folks in attendance...

We have Peggy to thank for the coordination of Dave Whorton's retirement party.
Peggy Robinson and Bill Caffrey
Bill Caffrey is the longest tenured UBSC employee in in the "5700 S. Ulster" building. Jerry Slavec is next. And Peggy Robinson believes she is third.

Rod Brockelman and Verlin Shock
Rod had his iToy at the party and took a
few pictures. He was limited, in that he had no flash. Rod sent me the
pictures, and we find them below:

I
believe one or more others took pictures at the party and I'm pleading
to get some additional images for this page. Mine are not all that
great, and I was the victim of some memory card problems -- losing some
pictures completely. More to come, perhaps...
