Jonz Adventure

Anguilla, B. W. I.

November 6 through 20, 2000

Anguilla is a flat coral island in the northeastern Caribbean. It is approximately 16 miles long and 3 miles wide. The highest point on the island is 271 feet. It has over 30 beautiful white sand beaches. And, you get to drive on the 'wrong' side of the road!

Blowing Point Harbor, Anguilla B. W. I.The view from our patio at The Ferryboat Inn . The ferries are moored in Blowing Point Harbor, and the dock is several hundred yards off to the left. You are looking across the Anguilla Channel to St. Martin (St. Maarten).

The wide format pictures on this page are scanned in from 4x12" prints from a disposable Fuji panoramic camera. The others on this page are digital pictures from our new Kodak DC-280 ZOOM -- which we are still getting to know.
All these images were then shrunk and compressed for 'snappy' web response.

Shoal Bay (West), Anguilla B. W. I.The West End (south west, actually) of the island includes Shoal Bay West. For more information about this beach.

West End, Anguilla B. W. I.This was taken near West End Point.

Captain's Bay, Anguilla B. W. I.This is Captain's Bay which is at the other end of the island (the north east end.) We used the 4-wheel drive of our Daihatsu "Feroza" to get up here. For a little more info - check out

Rendezvous Bay, Anguilla B. W. I.In between is Rendezvous Bay. A beautiful crescent beach that was a short drive from The Ferryboat Inn. Notice the crowds we had to put up with...

So, did Marvin get any good underwater pictures? You bet.
Check out his freediving page , if you want to see them.

Of course, our vacation had to come to an end, eventually -- and we returned to "Home, Sweet Home" .
